Aftercare is a registered NDIS Service Provider and have been working with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) since the 2013 Hunter Region trials.
Below are helpful tools developed by Aftercare specifically for health professionals to assist them in their part of the NDIS process.
NDIS training module
Aftercare’s specifically developed training on ‘Psychosocial Disability and the NDIS’ is a RACGP QICPD accredited activity and is now being offered to local Primary Health Networks (PHNs), Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) and General Practitioners.
The learning outcomes ensure attendees, by the end of the course, will understand: what the NDIS is; ‘psychosocial disability’ in context of the NDIS; how to assist an individual to access the scheme as a General or Allied Health Practitioner; and the participant journey.
