Yesterday the new LikeMind centre in Wagga Wagga invited the public and providers to a morning tea to celebrate the “soft opening” of the new facility.  Those present included consortium members along with other providers and the public.

LikeMind is an innovative model of holistic care via integrated services, both clinical and non-clinical housed under one roof, for people with mental health concerns across four core streams:

  • mental health
  • drug and alcohol
  • physical health
  • social needs such as linkages to employment
  • vocational training and housing.

LikeMind Wagga Wagga provides triage, assessment, treatment, care coordination and discharge planning by a consortium of government and non-government providers.

Nicole Birkin, LikeMind Services Manager said “I am very proud to part of the LikeMind service that has now opened in Wagga. It is a fantastic opportunity to help people work towards recovery”.

Aftercare is the lead agency for the Wagga Wagga LikeMind site.
