Welcome to Aftercare

Founded in 1907, Aftercare is a not-for-profit organisation that provides an extensive range of programs and services to assist people who might be experiencing mental illness and intellectual disability to allow them to lead happy, fulfilling and independent lives. All programs and services are designed to improve the social and emotional wellbeing of all clients and participants, as well as those who care for them, including the specialist areas of aboriginal, multicultural and youth.

NAIDOC Week Celebrations

Each year the National Aborigines’ and Islanders’ Day Observance Committee sets aside a week during which Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people can express and celebrate their culture throughout Australia. NAIDOC Week is a time of sharing not only with each other but with the wider community.

It's finally here...

We’re very proud to announce the arrival of our new website. It’s been a long time in the making and a lot of hard work, but we’re finally here.

You’ll note that the site has a different look and feel for the areas of Programs and Services, Aboriginal, Youth, Multicultural and Family and Carers. This allows us to relate better to our target audience.
